Two Down, Three To Go.

" Reading has always brought me pure joy. I read to encounter new worlds and new ways of looking at our own world. I read to enlarge my horizons, to gain wisdom, to experience beauty, to understand myself better, and for the pure wonderment of it all. I read and marvel over how writers use language in many ways I never thought of. I read for company, and for escape. "

"UH OH"

Well as I mentioned in my last post, it was Corey's birthday party yesterday. Everything was going good, people enjoying themselves, until something horrible happened. Don't really want to write it on here cause then it would just take too long. Let's just say, drugs and alcohol mixed together is a BIG NO NO ! I mean 'duh' who doesn't know that right ?! Anyways, cops were called and shit.
A night I probably won't ever forget.
Now his friends probably reckon we have a retarded family, HAHA. (Well I'm sorry for laughing, but it is funny in a way)

his cake

HAPPY BIRTHDAY COREY ! I LOVE YOU.
SIXTEEN AND YOU'RE SUCH A SPOILT BRAT!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
So Nique claimed that "K-Mart is opened 24/7 this weekend" last night. Her, Ryan and I decided to walk to Northland at like 10pm to check it out and we proved her wrong. Ryan then suggested to drop by at one of his mate's house to say a quick "Hi" on ELM STREET. I NEVER KNEW THERE WAS AN ELM STREET IN PRESTON! *shits in pants* - no, not really dumbass! As we were walking, Ryan made up some story about how someone died on the street we were walking in and at that moment I decided to push Nique and scream. We were in the middle of the road. It was not a very smart move but luckily no cars were driving. Lol. Still walking.. walking.. walking.. Ryan all of a sudden says, "nahh, let's go home. I can't be bothered anymore". SURE SURE RYAN, NIQUE AND I BOTH KNOW YOU WUSSED OUT CHICKEN SHIT! AHAHAH. And then, we walked some more, but went home anyway.

Oh wow, Thursdays, I reminisce.
Fridays, I see your face and I can't breathe.

Tomorrow is suppose to be Corey's surprise 16th birthday party but no, mom just had to tell him! My idea since the start of this year.. ruined. Grr! But oh well. I haven't had the chance to get his birthday present yet. Shit. Hope everything goes to plan!

'Asian Pear' label on my nashi today, LOL

"Desiderata"

Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing future of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrending the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive him to be, and whatever your labours and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Sweet prayer my english teacher gave us

You Do Not Learn This At School

Eleven Rules That Schools Don't Teach
By Charles Skyes

Rule 1:
Life is not fair. Get used to it.
Rule 2: The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something before you feel good about yourself.
Rule 3: You will not make $40,000 a year right out of high school.
Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait until you get a boss.
Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your parents had a different name for burger
flipping: they called it opportunity.
Rule 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes. Learn from them.
Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from
paying your bills, cleaning your clothes, and listening to you talk about how cool you are. So, before
you save the rainforest from the parasites of your parents' generation, try cleaning the closet in
your room.
Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life has not. In some schools
they have abolished failing grades; they'll give as many times as you want to get the right answer.
This of course bears no resemblance to anything in real life.
Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off, and very few employers are
interested in helping you find yourself. Do that in your own time.
Rule 10: Television is not real life. In real life, people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go
to jobs.
Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

During lunch today, my group (Anna, Kathy, Maria and Vivian) were thinking of ideas of what we could dress up as for our graduation breakfast. There were many disagreements until I suggested Rugrats. Only one person rejected this idea but too bad ! Haha, sorry Kathy, it was 4 against 1 afterall.

Something hilarious Kathy said today;
"
I know ! Let's go as Lilo & Stitch ... except .. which one's Lilo and which one's Stitch?" AHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Sarah and I walked all the way to Fairfield Station today after school ! With a minute to spare before the bus came to the stop that's opposite the station,
oh yeah. :)

What Does This Mean?!

Possibly the most interesting horoscope I have read so far. This was yesterday's.

On the same day that networking and connecting with both new and old friends is so important, there is also a need to follow your own instincts and your own path. This may bring a revelation, in terms of the people you associate with and whether it's time to strengthen some connections and move away from others. It is your gut instincts and your intuition that will tell you who is part of your future and who is part of your past.

So this morning on our way to school, Sarah and I saw a dead squirrel. I swear it had gotten electrocuted or something from the power lines, how sad :( We then crossed the street only to find a dead bird lying on the side of the foot path. Sarah started freaking out and was like "WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? IS THIS A SIGN THAT I AM GOING TO DIE?!"

"Get Out Of My Fucking Way"

This lady started talking to me today on the bus after school. She randomly told me that it isn't worth my time trying to explain things to others even if they don't get it because maybe it was only meant for me to know by that certain someone. She then said she had been drinking in a dark room by herself last night and started to nod her head to the beat of some song from the radio. Her two daughters were so cute though.

Charlie: "HELLO!"
Cynthia: "HI!"
Charlie's Mom: "GOOD BOY CHARLIE!

Quote of the day from Giani:
"FUCK. news travel fast in the daily asian sun". LOL

eeew, I must attend to my biology homework now.

Look At That Sunshine!

An enormous relief that I got through four sacs this week ! Although others may have had plenty more than I did. I got so damn nervous before the Legal sac that I started to hyperventilate, and you know what happens when I start to hyperventilate! I GO COMPLETELY BLANK !! Fortunately, I had managed to calm down right before we started so I didn't really forget anything.
Ever since I hopped onto the bus this morning, this song has been stuck in my head all day... SUNSHINE, LOLLIPOPS AND RAINBOWS !! Whoooooooooo !

Sunshine, lollipops and rainbows,
Everything that's wonderful is what I feel when we're together,
Brighter than a lucky penny,
When you're near the rain cloud disappears, dear,
And i feel so fine just to know that you are mine.

My life is sunshine, lollipops and rainbows,
That's how this refrain goes, so come on, join in everybody!

Sunshine, lollipops and rainbows,
Everything that's wonderful is sure to come our way
When you're in love to stay.

Sunshine, lollipops and rainbows,
Everything that's wonderful is what I feel when we're together,
Brighter than a lucky penny,
When you're near the rain cloud disappears, dear,
And i feel so fine just to know that you are mine.

My life is sunshine, lollipops and rainbows,
That's how this refrain goes, so come on, join in everybody!

Sunshine, lollipop and rainbows,
Everything that's wonderful is sure to come your way
'Cause you're in love, you're in love,
And love is here to stay!

Sarah said that on Monday I have to sing her this song, which I would gladly do so
:)

I want one of them mass lollipops, mmm

Quote of the day from Corey: "When I get my hands on a gun, I'm going to kill every mother fucker I see."
AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA !! SO FREAKING HILARIOUS !

Green With Envy

I went to a family friend's birthday party last week. He was turning two. Apparently there was a chef from Paris who was also a vegetarian so I thought he would make a lot of vegetarian meals. Instead, he only had me disappointed because there were heaps of seafood and only one bowl of salad. It was because the other guests requested he make seafood. Bummer, I could've requested vegetarian meals had i known he was going to be there.

such an asian cake!

Corey and I went home early and he persuaded me to play Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. I must say it has got to be the worst game I have ever played. The controls were so complicated and I couldn't even walk properly. After five minutes, I gave up. I think I just have to play more to get it right but that's a highly unlikely chance.

"CATURDAY" - according to Phuong
So today was Phuong's first photoshoot for her media project. The theme she chose is based on the 7 Deadly Sins. The majority of the other 'models' couldn't make it today so only Crystal and I were there. I was Envy and Crystal was Sloth. Phuong did my makeup first. She put these extreme feathery fake eyelashes on me and I looked like a damn drag queen. She then proceeded to put on fake bangs for my fringe which looked ridiculous but she and Crystal said it looked good. I just thought it looked so fucking asian. To top that off, the outfit I had to wear were one of Jonina's dresses. Not that her dresses are ugly or anything, it's just that THIS ONE WAS SIZE SIX !!! Fortunately, it wasn't too small for me so shooting was good.. although I'm not too sure I like the photos very much.

Throughout the day, Phuong was facing her fear of snakes. It was so funny cause she would always be at least three metres away from the snake I had to shoot with. She insisted I take it home with me so I could give it back to its owner on Monday, so its sitting in my room somewhere.

I have a headache at the moment so I should hit the hay.
Goodnight

This Week

(no Monday because nothing interesting happened)
Tuesday:
Caught the bus in the morning with Sarah like always, but this time an asian man was driving the bus. He seriously had no idea where he was going! This passenger got onto the bus and told him he missed the turn and even gave the driver directions but he didn't even listen! Jeez.. In the end, he found his way and we got to school on time.
Wednesday: *while I was trying to write my English analysis and Elizabeth, Nhuy and Crystal were studying for their business sac*, Crystal suddenly says "my finger can't fit in your hole!" who knows what was going through her mind HAHAHA.
Thursday: Went for a night jog with my mumma while it was spitting. Felt so good. Decided to run in the middle of the road and dance around for a bit until I realised this man had been sitting on his front porch looking at me that whole time! Embarrassing much? I think so.
Friday: pissed pissed pissed.

The weather was quite lovely today
:)

Blisters

Today I went to the Tim Burton Exhibition with Maria and Anna. They didn't allow us to take photos inside which was a shame. It was so crowded inside that we had to line up in long cues just to look at paintings, drawings, costumes and statues. On top of that, it was so stuffy in there and I couldn't even breathe. There was a section where there were only ferral clown paintings and statues, and if you didn't know, I'M COULROPHOBIC! Why oh why would they display such hideous things. We saw Cat Woman's outfit from Batman and I swear, it was the tiniest costume for an adult I have ever seen. I can't even possibly imagine how that woman was feeling when she had to wear it. There were actually quite a number of costumes on display. We also saw Edward Scissorhands' outfit! It was so awesome. I can't believe Johnny Depp actually wore it. If only he happened to be there signing autographs.. what a dream that is.

The bitch ripped my ticket

Edward Scissorhands ♥

After we left the exhibition, we went searching for the novel I wanted! We had no luck at Collin's Bookstore but eventually found it at Reader's Feast Bookstore. Well a man working there did. It wasn't that light lime colour cover. They changed it, that's why we couldn't find it. Should be fantastic. :)

After that, I met up with my momma and dad came to pick us up. While waiting at some traffic lights, there was this guy in the car next to ours. He was sitting in the back seat and started taking photos of himself with his phone. You know those poses when they tilt their heads with their chins up? Yeah, he was doing just that.

"Whoosah"

We finally got our year twelve hoodies today! Everyone was psyched when they arrived in homeroom and next thing you know they were already wearing them. I guess I'm quite happy with mine although I should've gotten an extra extra small size instead of an extra small.. it looks big on me urgh. Well yesterday I completed my legal sac, and my biology sac today. I fucked up the last question on the biology sac BUT I am so happy they're over and done with. The stupid mistakes I do. So annoyed.

On the other hand, I want this novel: The Perks Of Being A Wallflower

I'll update you guys when i get my hands on it :)

Overheard this little conversation today after school on the bus;

girl 1 : "I feel like a slut"
girl 2 : "Yeah..."
girl 1 : "You know what I mean? Cause you've done everything!"
girl 2 : "Mmmm"

not in public ladies

Turn That Shit Off And Leave Please

Well I'm suppose to be doing homework at the moment but I can't seem to be concentrating seeing as there are people at my house who won't shut their mouths! Just go already.

Pebble

Well his fur use to be straight

Our Deepest Fear

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
